Islamabad: Minister for Information and Broadcasting Attaullah Tarar announced that Pakistan is sending two planes loaded with essential relief items to war-torn Gaza. Each plane carries a hundred tons of supplies, including food, dry ration, and medication, as directed by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif.
According to Radio Pakistan, the announcement was made during a ceremony at Islamabad International Airport marking the dispatch of the 18th consignment to Gaza. The planes are scheduled to land in Jordan, from where the humanitarian assistance will reach Gaza through a land route.
Minister Tarar acknowledged the efforts of the Al-Khidmat Foundation and the leadership of Jammat-e-Islami for their role in sending aid to Gaza. The humanitarian effort aims to support Palestinians who are enduring severe hardships due to the ongoing conflict and the actions of Israeli occupation forces.
Expressing solidarity with the people of Palestine, Tarar reiterated Pakistan’s commitment to raising the Palestinian issue at all international platforms. He highlighted the dire conditions faced by Palestinians, particularly children, who are suffering from starvation and malnutrition amid the conflict.
