Islamabad: The National Assembly of Pakistan held a significant discussion on the regional situation in the aftermath of the Pahalgam False Flag Operation and India’s subsequent provocative actions. The session was marked by a strong resolve from Pakistani lawmakers who affirmed the nation’s unity in responding to any Indian misadventure.
According to Radio Pakistan, Minister for Information and Broadcasting Attaullah Tarar took the floor, emphasizing Pakistan’s proactive stance in the information warfare against India. He informed the assembly that despite India’s blocking of Pakistani accounts, Pakistan successfully managed to broadcast a song of its Armed Forces on Indian YouTube channels through geotagging and advertisement airtime purchases. Tarar highlighted Pakistan’s success in countering India’s narrative on the global stage, mentioning Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s engagements with diplomats and world leaders.
Tarar further stated that the Pakistani nation has historically delivered decisive defeats to its adversaries. He warned that while Pakistan is not an aggressor, any misadventure by the enemy would elicit a formidable response from the Pakistani Armed Forces. He reiterated Pakistan’s unwavering moral, political, and diplomatic support for the Kashmiri people, describing Kashmir as the “jugular vein” of Pakistan. He also underscored Pakistan’s position as a frontline state in the war on terrorism and mentioned the substantial losses the country has endured in this battle.
Highlighting evidence of Indian state-sponsored terrorism, Tarar accused India of involvement in the assassination of Sikhs. Chairman of the PPP, Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, speaking on a motion regarding India’s actions post-Pahalgam incident, urged India to abandon terrorism as a foreign policy tool.
Ijaz ul Haq, in his remarks, condemned the human rights violations in illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir. Sehar Kamran invoked the words of Pakistan’s founding father, Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah, asserting the nation’s belief in its defense capabilities. Other lawmakers, including Abdul Latif, Farooq Sattar, and Barrister Gohar Ali Khan, echoed these sentiments, criticizing India’s policies and expressing confidence in Pakistan’s resilience.
The session concluded with multiple voices, including Asad Alam Niazi and others, addressing India’s hegemonic designs and its disregard for international laws. The National Assembly is scheduled to reconvene tomorrow at 11 a.m.
