Islamabad: Pakistan has strongly condemned any attempts to undermine the sovereignty, unity, and territorial integrity of Somalia. Foreign Office Tahir Andrabi, in a statement today, rejected the announcement made by Israel recognizing the independence of the so-called Somaliland region of the Federal Republic of Somalia.
According to Radio Pakistan, Andrabi stated that such actions are illegal and provocative, constituting a flagrant violation of international law. He emphasized that these actions threaten not only the peace and stability of Somalia but also the broader region. The Spokesperson called on the international community to reject these actions and to prevent Israel from undermining the ongoing efforts for peace and stability.
Andrabi reiterated Pakistan's complete support for the sovereignty, unity, and territorial integrity of the Federal Republic of Somalia. He also expressed support for efforts aimed at achieving lasting peace and stability in the country. Furthermore, he highlighted Pakistan's rejection of any steps towards the forced displacement of Palestinians and reaffirmed Pakistan's support for the Palestinian struggle for self-determination. Pakistan upholds the establishment of a sovereign, independent Palestinian state based on pre-1967 borders, with Al-Quds Al-Sharif as its capital.
