Pakistan Committed to Advancing Dialogue, Diplomacy: DPM

Islamabad: Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar has affirmed Pakistan's commitment to prioritizing dialogue and diplomacy as the primary methods for achieving peace in the region. This statement came during a telephone conversation with Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi.

According to Radio Pakistan, the leaders exchanged views on the recent Islamabad Talks and the direct negotiations between the U.S. and Iran. Wang Yi congratulated Ishaq Dar on Pakistan's persistent efforts to foster peace and stability in the region and reiterated China's ongoing support for Pakistan's constructive diplomatic endeavors.

Both leaders emphasized that dialogue and diplomacy are the only viable paths forward. They also discussed the Pakistan-China Five-Point Peace Initiative, which aims to facilitate the peaceful resolution of regional issues. The two sides agreed to maintain close communication to advance these goals.
