Pabbi: The 9th edition of the joint military exercise, Warrior-IX, involving the Pakistan Army and the People’s Liberation Army (PLA) of China, has commenced. This exercise is part of a series of bilateral counterterrorism exercises conducted annually between the two nations.
According to Radio Pakistan, the exercise that began on Monday is focusing on counterterrorism operations, with the aim of enhancing interoperability, refining professional skills, and exchanging best practices in modern warfare. Pakistan and China maintain a longstanding defense cooperation based on mutual trust and strategic partnership.
Exercise Warrior-IX exemplifies the strong military-to-military relations between the two countries and reaffirms their shared commitment to regional peace, stability, and security. The opening ceremony of the exercise was attended by prominent military officials, including Corps Commander Mangla and Deputy Chief of Staff of Western Theatre Command of PLA Major General Bian Xiaoming. The event was held at the National Counter-Terrorism Center in Pabbi.
