Islamabad: Pakistan has called on the international community to take an active role in curbing Indian-backed terrorism originating from Afghan soil. This assertion was made by Tahir Andrabi, the Spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, during a weekly media briefing held in Islamabad.
According to Radio Pakistan, Andrabi emphasized Pakistan's commitment to diplomacy and dialogue, while also asserting the nation's right to self-defense against terrorism allegedly supported by India from Afghanistan. He highlighted the importance of support from neighboring countries and the global community, including Saudi Arabia, in addressing these security challenges.
Addressing another query, the spokesperson expressed optimism that the Board of Peace on Gaza would fulfill its mandate by implementing a permanent ceasefire, enhancing humanitarian assistance to Palestinians, and contributing to the reconstruction of Gaza. Andrabi further articulated Pakistan's aspirations for the Palestinian people's right to self-determination, advocating for a political process aligned with international norms and UN resolutions to establish an independent Palestinian state with Al-Quds Al-Sharif as its capital.
