Pakistan-Bangladesh Direct Flights Resume After 14-Year Hiatus

Dhaka: Direct flight operations between Pakistan and Bangladesh have commenced after a hiatus of 14 years. The inaugural flight departed from Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport, Dhaka, for Jinnah International Airport, Karachi.

According to Radio Pakistan, the commencement of this direct flight route was marked by an inaugural ceremony where Bangladeshi Adviser for Civil Aviation and Tourism Bashir Uddin stressed the significance of the Dhaka-Karachi route. He highlighted its role in enhancing connectivity, promoting tourism, and strengthening people-to-people links between the two countries.

Speaking on the occasion, the Pakistani High Commissioner in Dhaka, Imran Haider, expressed gratitude to the Government of Bangladesh, Biman Bangladesh Airlines, and the Civil Aviation Authority for their efforts in making the launch of this flight possible.
