Pakistan, Bangladesh Agree to Enhance Cooperation


Rawalpindi: Pakistan and Bangladesh have agreed to bolster their bilateral cooperation, particularly in the realm of defense, following a significant meeting between Bangladesh’s armed forces division Principal Staff Officer, Lieutenant General S.M. Kamrul Hassan, and Pakistan’s Defence Secretary, retired Lieutenant General Muhammad Ali.



According to Radio Pakistan, the discussions between the two officials centered on expanding collaboration across all defense domains. During the meeting, Defence Secretary Muhammad Ali emphasized the importance Pakistan places on its relationship with Bangladesh. He highlighted the mutual benefits that could be gained from enhanced cooperation.



Lieutenant General S.M. Kamrul Hassan expressed Bangladesh’s aspirations for a vibrant partnership with Pakistan, noting the potential for increased collaboration. Both parties expressed satisfaction with the current level of engagement between the two countries and committed to further strengthening ties in areas that would be mutually advantageous.
