Pakistan, Bahrain Commit to Enhanced Defence Cooperation


Islamabad: Commander Bahrain National Guard, General Shaikh Mohammed Bin Isa Bin Salman Al Khalifa, met with Chief of the Naval Staff, Admiral Naveed Ashraf, in Islamabad today. During their meeting, discussions focused on mutual interests, the regional maritime security situation, and opportunities for increased cooperation in defence, training, and security.



According to Radio Pakistan, Admiral Naveed Ashraf emphasized Pakistan Navy’s efforts to ensure maritime security and regional stability through initiatives such as Regional Maritime Security Patrols. General Shaikh Mohammed Bin Isa Bin Salman Al Khalifa expressed appreciation for the Pakistan Navy’s contributions and steadfast commitment to collaborative maritime security efforts in the region.



Both leaders pledged to further strengthen and diversify the existing bilateral defence relationship. The visit of the Commander Bahrain National Guard is anticipated to enhance bilateral collaboration between the two countries.
