Pakistan, Azerbaijan Vow to Diversify Strategic Partnership Through Investment


Lachin: Pakistan and Azerbaijan have reaffirmed their shared commitment to diversifying their strategic partnership by exploring investment opportunities in mutually beneficial areas. This resolve was demonstrated during a bilateral meeting between Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev in Lachin.



According to Radio Pakistan, the two leaders reviewed the full spectrum of bilateral relations and expressed satisfaction over the positive trajectory of political, economic, defense, and cultural cooperation between Pakistan and Azerbaijan. Prime Minister Sharif emphasized that both countries have consistently supported each other and will continue to do so in the future. He also expressed gratitude to Azerbaijan for its steadfast support during the recent Pakistan-India confrontation and acknowledged Azerbaijan’s public expressions of solidarity.



The Azerbaijani side agreed to the exchange of delegations to progress investment discussions in Pakistan, with delegation-level talks to be organized soon. The meeting took place on the eve of the Trilateral meeting of Pakistan, Azerbaijan, and Trkiye, coinciding with Azerbaijan’s Independence Day, adding a symbolic dimension to the exchange.



Both leaders highlighted the importance of coordinated efforts to promote regional stability, mutual prosperity, and principled positions on key international issues. The meeting concluded with a reaffirmation of their commitment to deepening the Pakistan-Azerbaijan partnership and advancing shared objectives at both bilateral and regional levels.
