Pakistan Asks UN for Immediate Action to Stop Gaza Genocide

Islamabad: Pakistan has asked the UN Security Council to act now to stop Gaza genocide.

In a powerful statement at the UN Security Council briefing on the situation in the Middle East, including the Palestinian Question, Pakistan’s Permanent Representative to the UN Ambassador Asim Iftikhar Ahmad said the cries from Gaza cannot continue to be met with silence. The world cannot afford another day of inaction, as history will not absolve us of our responsibility.

According to Radio Pakistan, Ambassador Ahmad emphasized the urgent need for international intervention to halt the ongoing violence in Gaza. He urged the UN Security Council to take immediate steps to ensure the protection of civilians and to uphold international humanitarian laws.

Ahmad’s address highlighted the dire humanitarian situation in Gaza, pointing out that the continuation of violence would lead to catastrophic consequences for the region and beyond. He called for a comprehensive resolution that addresses the root causes of the conflict, advocating for a two-state solution as the only viable path to lasting peace.

The ambassador’s call for action comes amid escalating tensions and violence in the region, which have drawn international concern. His statement reflects Pakistan’s long-standing support for the Palestinian cause and its commitment to seeking peaceful solutions through diplomatic channels.
