Islamabad: Pakistan and Uzbekistan have agreed to enhance their bilateral trade to two billion dollars within the next five years. This agreement marks a significant step in strengthening economic ties between the two countries.

According to Radio Pakistan, a protocol aimed at boosting bilateral trade and economic cooperation was signed in Islamabad. The signing ceremony was attended by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Uzbekistan President Shavkat Mirziyoyev. This protocol signifies a mutual commitment to deepen economic relations and explore new avenues for collaboration.

Under the newly signed protocol, both nations will establish a joint working group. This group will be tasked with formulating an action plan focused on identifying key sectors that can be leveraged to enhance trade and economic cooperation. The plan will be developed through mutual consultations, ensuring that both countries benefit from the agreement.
