Islamabad: Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi and Minister of State for Interior Talal Chaudhry met with U.S. Assistant Secretary of State for South and Central Asian Affairs John Mark Pomeroy in Islamabad to discuss bilateral relations and regional conditions. The discussion focused on enhancing cooperation in counterterrorism and internal security.
According to Radio Pakistan, both countries agreed to promote investment and partnership in the mining, minerals, and energy sectors. Interior Minister Naqvi emphasized the importance of global cooperation in the fight against terrorism and stressed the significance of relations with the United States in this effort. He welcomed U.S. investment in these sectors, underlining Pakistan's belief in global partnerships to eliminate terrorism and boost investment.
