Pakistan and Turkiye to Strengthen Railway Sector Cooperation


Islamabad: Pakistan and Turkiye have reaffirmed their commitment to deepen bilateral cooperation, enhance regional connectivity, and advance collaboration in the railway sector. This announcement was made following a meeting between Pakistan’s Minister for Railways, Hanif Abbasi, and Turkiye’s Minister for Transport and Infrastructure, Abdulkadir Uraloglu. The meeting took place on the sidelines of the Regional Transport Ministers Conference held in Islamabad.



According to Radio Pakistan, both parties discussed expanding collaboration in various areas, including engineering, technology transfer, and professional training of human resources. They also explored the potential for establishing logistics corridors and improving sea-port connectivity. Additionally, the ministers reviewed the development of a modern regional transport network to further solidify ties between the two nations.
