Pakistan and Turkiye Set Ambitious Trade Target of Five Billion Dollars


Istanbul: Pakistan and Turkiye have agreed to work closely to increase the trade volume up to five billion dollars in the coming years. This decision was reached during a meeting between Pakistan’s Minister for Communications Abdul Aleem Khan and Turkiye’s Minister of Trade Professor Dr. Omer Bolat. The meeting took place on the sidelines of the 5th ECO Ministerial Meeting on Commerce and Foreign Trade in Istanbul.



According to Radio Pakistan, Abdul Aleem Khan emphasized the longstanding brotherly relations between Pakistan and Turkiye. He expressed satisfaction over the growing cooperation between the two countries across multiple sectors. Khan reiterated Pakistan’s strong commitment to expanding economic, trade, and investment ties with Turkiye.



In their discussions, both ministers exchanged views on mutual interests and agreed to work together across all sectors to further strengthen bilateral relations. The focus remains on enhancing economic collaboration and achieving the ambitious trade target of five billion dollars in the years ahead.
