Islamabad: Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar on Thursday held a telephonic conversation with his counterpart from Somalia, Abdisalam Abdi Ali.
According to Radio Pakistan, Ishaq Dar informed Abdisalam Abdi Ali about the escalating regional situation arising from India’s actions, including holding the Indus Waters Treaty in abeyance. Abdisalam Abdi Ali expressed concern over the situation and emphasized the importance of resolving issues through diplomacy to maintain regional peace and security.
As non-permanent members of the UN Security Council, the two leaders reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening multilateral cooperation. Furthermore, both sides agreed to enhance bilateral relations, aiming to foster stronger ties between the two nations.
