Pakistan and Somalia Commit to Strengthening Ties at Multilateral Forums

Islamabad: Pakistan and Somalia have reaffirmed their commitment to maintaining close coordination at multilateral forums. An understanding to this effect came at a meeting between Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar and Somalian Minister for Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation Abdisalam Abdi Ali on the sidelines of the Ministerial Meeting on Jerusalem in Amman today.

According to Radio Pakistan, the two leaders reviewed the longstanding fraternal ties between Pakistan and Somalia and discussed ways to further strengthen cooperation in the political, economic, defence, education, and capacity-building sectors. They also exchanged views on regional developments, particularly the situation in the Middle East and the deteriorating situation in East Jerusalem.
