Islamabad: Minister for Petroleum Ali Pervaiz Malik held a meeting with Saudi Ambassador to Pakistan Nawaf bin Saeed Al-Maliki in Islamabad on Friday. They discussed cooperation in the minerals and energy sector between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia.
According to Radio Pakistan, the Minister stated that at the invitation of Saudi Arabia, Pakistan will fully participate in the Future Minerals Forum being held in Riyadh this month. He mentioned that 13 public and private mineral companies from Pakistan will participate in the forum to showcase Pakistan’s potential in mineral resources. Pakistan will also set up its pavilion at the Forum titled ‘Pakistan: the Mineral Marvel’.
The Minister added that the Pakistan Pavilion will serve as a prelude to the Pakistan Mineral Investment Forum 2026, slated to be held in April. The Saudi Ambassador expressed his welcome for Pakistan’s participation in the Forum, noting that it will open new avenues for cooperation in the minerals and energy sector, given the vast opportunities for collaboration between the two nations.
