Pakistan and Kazakhstan Ink Eight MoUs for Academic Collaboration

Islamabad: Pakistan and Kazakhstan have signed eight Memoranda of Understanding in the field of education to promote joint research collaboration, faculty and student exchanges, collaborative academic programs, and capacity-building initiatives. The agreements aim to foster educational ties between the two countries and enhance academic linkages.

According to Radio Pakistan, the MoUs were signed during a meeting held in Islamabad between a 25-member delegation from the Republic of Kazakhstan, led by Minister of Science and Higher Education of Kazakhstan, Sayasat Nurbek, and representatives and stakeholders of Pakistani Higher Education Institutions. The discussions focused on reviewing the existing framework of cooperation and exploring new avenues for collaboration in areas such as higher education, science and technology, medical education, research, innovation, and academic exchange.

Both countries reiterated their commitment to strengthening institution-to-institution linkages and enhancing people-to-people connectivity through education. The MoUs will be facilitated by the Ministry of Federal Education and Professional Training and coordinated by the Higher Education Commission to ensure effective implementation and sustainable outcomes, paving the way for a strengthened educational partnership between Pakistan and Kazakhstan.
