Pakistan and Denmark Commit to Strengthening Trade and Energy Ties


Islamabad: Pakistan and Denmark have reaffirmed their commitment to explore new avenues of cooperation in trade, renewable energy, IT, and market expansion. This mutual commitment was expressed during a meeting between Pakistan’s Commerce Minister Jam Kamal Khan and the Danish Ambassador in Islamabad.



According to Radio Pakistan, the discussions focused on enhancing bilateral trade, investment cooperation, and energy-sector collaboration between the two countries. Minister Jam Kamal Khan emphasized Pakistan’s ongoing stabilization measures under the IMF program, highlighting the stabilization of foreign reserves and the strong growth in remittances.



Furthermore, Minister Khan extended an invitation to Denmark to participate in upcoming trade exhibitions in Lahore and Karachi. He expressed optimism that improvements in travel advisories would enable greater Danish participation in these events.



During the meeting, the Danish Ambassador briefed the Minister on Denmark’s ongoing three-year partnership with Pakistani institutions. This partnership aims to support energy planning, data systems, and grid efficiency, reflecting Denmark’s active role in enhancing Pakistan’s energy infrastructure.
