Pakistan and China Emphasize Economic Integration and Cooperation


Islamabad: Pakistan and China have reaffirmed their commitment to advancing economic integration and fostering people-to-people linkages under the framework of China-Pakistan economic collaboration. This commitment was expressed at the third meeting of the Xinjiang-Pakistan Working Group on Economic Cooperation, held virtually today.



According to Radio Pakistan, the meeting provided an important platform for both sides to review ongoing collaboration and explore new avenues for mutually beneficial cooperation. The agenda of the meeting broadly encompassed discussions on enhancing border port trade and deepening cooperation in the fields of agriculture, science and technology, health, and education.



Both sides engaged in a constructive and meaningful dialogue aimed at strengthening bilateral economic ties and promoting sustainable regional development. Delegates from Pakistan and Xinjiang presented detailed proposals focused on improving the livelihoods of local communities and further consolidating the existing areas of cooperation.



The meeting was chaired by Secretary Economic Affairs Division Humair Karim and Vice Chairman of the Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region of China Keiser Keyum.
