Pakistan and Afghanistan Commit to Building Mutual Trust

Islamabad: Pakistan and Afghanistan have pledged to collaborate closely to foster mutual trust between their nations. This commitment was reiterated during a telephonic conversation between Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister, Ishaq Dar, and Afghanistan’s Acting Foreign Minister, Amir Khan Muttaqi.

According to Radio Pakistan, Amir Khan Muttaqi expressed his approval of Pakistan’s decision to elevate its diplomatic relations with Afghanistan to the Ambassador level. He viewed this move as a positive step in enhancing bilateral relations and announced Afghanistan’s decision to reciprocate this gesture.

The dialogue between the two leaders also highlighted the significance of the Uzbekistan-Afghanistan-Pakistan Railway Line Project for regional connectivity. They agreed on the necessity of working together to expedite the finalization of the framework agreement for this project.

Moreover, both officials took the opportunity to review the implementation of decisions made during Ishaq Dar’s visit to Kabul in April of this year.
