Pakistan Aims to Position Itself as Key Player in International Space Economy: Ahsan

Islamabad: Minister for Planning and Development Ahsan Iqbal has stated that Pakistan is setting its sights on becoming a significant contributor to the international space economy. Speaking at the launch of a Remote Sensing Satellite from the Xichang Satellite Launch Center in China, Iqbal highlighted the nation's vision to develop a robust space industry ecosystem that fosters economic growth and innovation.

According to Radio Pakistan, the minister emphasized that the launch of the remote sensing satellite represents not only a technological achievement but also a testament to the strong ties between Pakistan and China. Iqbal further outlined plans for Pakistan to expand its satellite constellation for comprehensive Earth observation. He also mentioned investments in space and STEM education aimed at empowering the youth, as well as the ambition to launch joint space missions with China, leading to a Pakistani spacecraft reaching the Moon by 2035.
