Istanbul: Pakistan and Afghanistan have agreed to continue the ceasefire following the latest round of talks held between the two sides in Istanbul.
According to Radio Pakistan, a joint statement released by Trkiye has confirmed that further modalities of the implementation will be discussed and decided in a Principal level meeting in Istanbul on the sixth of next month.
All parties have agreed to establish a monitoring and verification mechanism that will ensure the maintenance of peace and impose penalties on the violating party. The joint statement further noted that Trkiye and Qatar, as mediators, stand ready to continue cooperation with both sides for lasting peace and stability.
