Pakistan, 15 Nations Address Security Concerns Over Global Sumud Flotilla


Islamabad: Pakistan and fifteen other countries have expressed their concern about the security of the Global Sumud Flotilla to Gaza, a civil society initiative in which citizens of their countries are participating. Ministers of Foreign Affairs from the involved nations have come together to voice their concerns, emphasizing the importance of safety and adherence to international law.



According to Radio Pakistan, the Global Sumud Flotilla has communicated its mission of delivering humanitarian aid to the Gaza Strip and raising awareness about the urgent humanitarian needs of the Palestinian people. The participating countries are united in their call for peace, the delivery of humanitarian aid, and the respect of international law, including humanitarian law.



The Foreign Ministers have urged all parties to refrain from any unlawful or violent acts against the Flotilla and stressed the importance of adhering to international law and humanitarian principles. They highlighted that any violations, such as attacks on vessels in international waters or illegal detention, would result in accountability for those responsible.



The collective statement from the Foreign Ministers reflects a shared commitment to the objectives of the Global Sumud Flotilla and underscores the importance of upholding human rights and legal standards in international initiatives.
