Colombo: A specialized team of Pakistan Army, dispatched by NDMA on the instructions of the Prime Minister, is actively engaged in relief activities in the cyclone-affected areas of Sri Lanka.
According to Radio Pakistan, all possible measures are being taken to provide aid to the victims of Cyclone Ditwah.
Along with searching for the missing persons, the process of recovering the bodies is also ongoing at an expedited pace. The NDMA is utilizing vacant spaces on commercial flights to send additional aid to Sri Lanka. On the Prime Minister’s special instructions, the NDMA has also dispatched two hundred tons of relief items to Sri Lanka via a naval ship. Pakistan Navy’s ships and helicopters are also actively engaged in relief activities in Sri Lanka.
