Paktika: More than seventy Khwarij members belonging to the Gul Bahadur group, including key leader Farman alias Al-Karamah, have been killed during precision strikes on terrorist hideouts in Paktika.
According to Radio Pakistan, these strikes were executed during the night of October 17, targeting the Khwariji Gul Bahadur group. Security officials report that this group has been involved in numerous acts of terrorism in Pakistan, with operations being launched from within Afghanistan.
On the same day as the strikes, the group attempted a VBIED attack in the Khadi area of North Waziristan, which resulted in the deaths of three women, two children, and a security personnel, although the attack ultimately failed.
The strikes also resulted in the deaths of other Khwariji leaders, including Gulab alias Deewana, Rehmani, Adil, Siddiqullah Dawar, Ghazi Maddah Khel, Muqarrab, Qismat Ullah, and Fazal-ur-Rehman, who was a close relative of Gul Bahadur. Additionally, Khwariji Ashiq Ullah alias Kausar and Younus were among those killed.
Security officials have described the elimination of these key Khwariji leaders as a significant success.
