Islamabad: OGDCL and Mari Energies Limited have discovered new gas reserves due to the support of Special Investment Facilitation Council (SIFC). The recent findings are set to bolster Pakistan’s energy sector with substantial contributions from these gas discoveries.
According to Radio Pakistan, the Oil and Gas Development Company Limited (OGDCL) has successfully identified gas reserves in the Attock District, which are expected to produce 13.95 million cubic feet of gas per day. This discovery marks a significant step forward in meeting the energy needs of the region, providing a new source of natural gas for local consumption.
Additionally, Mari Energies Limited has made two more significant gas discoveries in the Waziristan Block of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. These findings further emphasize the potential of the region as a key area for gas extraction, contributing to the country’s energy supply.
Furthermore, Pakistan Petroleum Limited (PPL) and Polish Oil and Gas Company have also reported successful gas discoveries in the Dadu District of Sindh. These joint efforts underline the collaborative approach in exploring and developing Pakistan’s natural gas resources, ensuring a steady supply to meet the growing demand.
