Islamabad: Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi has firmly declared that marching on Islamabad will not be permitted, following a detailed judgment by the Islamabad High Court. Addressing a press conference alongside Minister of State Talal Chaudhary in Islamabad, Naqvi emphasized that law enforcement agencies have been instructed to respond promptly and decisively should anyone attempt to violate the court's order.

According to Radio Pakistan, Naqvi also addressed the issue of the recent Kohat blast, urging the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government to focus its efforts on combating terrorism within the province. He criticized the provincial government's energy expenditure on mobilizing protests instead of addressing security concerns. Naqvi advised the Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and his cabinet to prioritize fighting terrorism, describing it as a national menace that must be eradicated.

The Interior Minister reassured the public of the government's commitment to safeguarding lives and property, emphasizing the need to differentiate between political rallies and armed groups. He reiterated the capability of law enforcement agencies to prevent any attempts to disrupt the country's law and order. Naqvi warned that organizers of the proposed long march would be held accountable for any resulting casualties.

He expressed hope that rational elements within the opposition would reconsider their protest plans, highlighting the potential economic repercussions for the country.
