The first ground convoy of the National Logistics Corporation (NLC), carrying humanitarian assistance for the people of Palestine and Lebanon, departed from Islamabad today. Under the direction of the Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, the National Disaster Management Authority has increased its humanitarian aid for the victims in these regions, supported by the NLC. To date, a total of 1,598 tonnes of relief goods have been delivered to those affected in Gaza and Lebanon. The departure ceremony held in Islamabad was attended by MNA Malik Abrar, MNA Raja Qamarul Islam, Ambassador of Palestine to Pakistan, Zuhair M. H. Darzaid, and the Ambassador of Lebanon, Ghassan El Khatib. Both Ambassadors expressed their gratitude to the government and people of Pakistan for their generous humanitarian assistance. During the event, Pakistani parliamentarians emphasized the necessity of providing aid to the war-torn populations of Palestine and Lebanon, reaffirming the government's commitment to this crucial effort.
