NDMA Sends 23rd Aid Shipment to Palestine Amid Ongoing Crisis


Lahore: On the directives of the Prime Minister, the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) has successfully dispatched its twenty-third shipment of humanitarian aid to the Palestinian people. This consignment, weighing one hundred tonnes, was sent via a special flight from Allama Iqbal International Airport in Lahore.



According to Radio Pakistan, the aid package consists of essential items such as ration bags filled with flour, rice, cooking oil, chickpeas, ready-to-eat meals, and canned fruits. This latest shipment brings the total aid sent to 2,227 tonnes, delivered through twenty-three consignments.



Governor Punjab Sardar Salim Haider Khan attended the send-off ceremony as the chief guest, alongside government officials, NDMA officers, and representatives of the Alkhidmat Foundation. During his address, the Governor praised the efforts of the NDMA and partnering organizations for their role in the timely dispatch of aid and expressed gratitude for their continued support.



The Governor reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to supporting the Palestinian people during these challenging times, emphasizing solidarity with the oppressed Muslims of Gaza and Palestine. He highlighted the daily loss of innocent lives, including children, due to the ongoing conflict and condemned Israel for violating humanitarian principles by targeting civilian areas.



Sardar Saleem Haider called upon the United Nations to address the situation in Gaza and urged all Islamic countries to unite in their support for Palestine.
