Navy Fully Prepared to Uphold National Sovereignty: Naval Chief


Islamabad: Chief of the Naval Staff Admiral Naveed Ashraf has asserted that the Pakistan Navy remains fully prepared to uphold national sovereignty and ensure the defense of every inch of the country’s maritime frontiers. He made this statement while chairing the Command and Staff Conference of the Pakistan Navy, which concluded at Naval Headquarters in Islamabad.



According to Radio Pakistan, Admiral Ashraf emphasized the importance of maintaining perpetual combat readiness to effectively address both conventional and unconventional challenges in the maritime domain. He also underscored the Pakistan Navy’s crucial role in maintaining peace and stability, as well as regional maritime security.



The forum conducted a comprehensive review of operational preparedness, ongoing initiatives, and upcoming events. Among these is the Pakistan International Maritime Expo and Conference (PIMEC), which serves as a premier platform to showcase Pakistan’s maritime potential and promote regional cooperation.



The Command and Staff Conference is the apex decision-making forum of the Pakistan Navy. It includes deliberations by the Chief of the Naval Staff, Principal Staff Officers, and Field Commanders on strategic priorities, operational preparedness, and policy formulation to align naval capabilities with national security objectives.
