Islamabad: Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi has reiterated Pakistan’s stance for the resolution of disputes, including the Kashmir issue, through peaceful means, and said that any step in this regard will be welcomed. He was speaking with Acting US Ambassador Natalie Baker, who called on him in Islamabad on Friday.
According to Radio Pakistan, the Minister lauded the exceptional leadership and sincere efforts of President Trump in achieving a ceasefire between Iran and Israel. The Minister expressed hope that US President Donald Trump will also bring about a ceasefire in Gaza.
During the meeting, they exchanged views on matters of mutual interest, Pakistan-US relations, and enhancing cooperation in various sectors, including counter-terrorism and anti-narcotics. Moreover, regional developments and the meeting between US President Donald Trump and Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir were discussed in detail.
On her part, Acting US Ambassador Natalie Baker praised Pakistan’s diplomatic efforts for peace in the region and said that Pakistan is an important friend to the US, and they attach special importance to their relations with Pakistan.
