Islamabad: Speaker National Assembly Sardar Ayaz Sadiq has expressed deep appreciation for the performance of the National Accountability Bureau (NAB). He conveyed his sentiments during a meeting with Chairman NAB Lt. Gen (Retd) Nazir Ahmed Butt, who visited him at Parliament House.

According to Radio Pakistan, the Speaker highlighted NAB’s achievement of unprecedented direct and indirect recoveries amounting to 5311 billion rupees during October to December 2023. He emphasized that these recoveries reflect NAB’s transformation into an apolitical, fair, efficient, and trustworthy entity.

Sardar Ayaz Sadiq also expressed satisfaction with NAB’s austerity measures and its complete revamping through AI-based digitalization. He praised the measures taken by NAB for facilitating complaints and the complete automation and upgrading of its systems.

Additionally, the Speaker commended the establishment of Special Accountability Facilitation Desks in all provinces, which are transforming NAB into a business-friendly entity. He acknowledged NAB’s positive role in contributing to the economic stability of the country.

During the meeting, Chairman NAB expressed his commitment to transforming NAB into a model institution. He also presented NAB’s Annual Report 2023-2024 to the Speaker National Assembly.
