NA, Senate Committees Deliberate on 27th Amendment Bill


Islamabad: A joint meeting of the Senate and National Assembly’s Standing Committees on Law and Justice convened in Islamabad today to deliberate on the Constitution (Twenty-Seventh Amendment) Bill, 2025. The session aimed at scrutinizing the Bill’s provisions to ensure a comprehensive examination.



According to Radio Pakistan, the meeting resolved to conduct a detailed, clause-by-clause analysis of the Bill. This meticulous approach is intended to thoroughly review each aspect of the proposed amendment, reflecting the committees’ commitment to a thorough legislative process.



The meeting was co-chaired by Senator Farooq H. Naek and MNA Chaudhry Mahmood Bashir Virk, who are the respective Chairpersons of the two committees. Their leadership is pivotal in guiding the discussions and ensuring that all provisions are carefully considered.



The committees decided to reconvene tomorrow morning to continue their deliberations on the Bill, underscoring the importance of a detailed and sustained review to address any complexities within the proposed legislation.
