Islamabad: The National Assembly has approved all the supplementary grants pertaining to different ministries and divisions for the years 2024-25 and 2023-24. The House also approved excess demands for grants for the financial year 2023-24. These were moved by Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb.
According to Radio Pakistan, the Finance Minister laid before the House the Schedule of Authorized Expenditure 2025-2026, Schedule of Supplementary Authorized Expenditure 2023-2024 and 2024-2025, and Schedule of Excess Authorized Expenditure 2023-2024. Taking the floor, the Finance Minister expressed satisfaction over the completion of the budget process. He appreciated the contribution of both the houses in the budget 2025-26.
The Finance Minister also announced honoraria equivalent to five basic salaries for the staff of National Assembly and Senate, as well as the employees of other government departments, who performed duties at the Parliament House during the budget session. The house has now been prorogued.
