Muslim Nations Seek Defence Pacts with Pakistan, NA Informed

Islamabad: Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar has ruled out any deviation from Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah’s policy on Palestine, reinforcing Pakistan’s unwavering demand for an independent Palestinian state with Quds al-Sharif as its capital.

According to Radio Pakistan, Dar spoke on the floor of the National Assembly, emphasizing the strategic agreement between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia. This pact affirms that an attack on one nation will be considered an assault on the other. Dar described it as an honour for Pakistan to be part of the defenders of Harmain Sharifain. He also revealed that several Arab and non-Arab Islamic countries are interested in signing similar agreements with Pakistan.

Dar expressed confidence that Pakistan will eventually lead the Islamic world. He stated that while Pakistan is a nuclear and missile power, it should aim to become an economic power as well, achievable through collective effort.

Addressing the arrest of former Senator Mushtaq Ahmed Khan and other Pakistanis detained by Israeli authorities, Dar explained that around forty-five flotillas were carrying humanitarian aid to Gaza. Mushtaq Ahmed Khan was detained from one of the 25 flotillas intercepted by Israel. The Deputy Prime Minister assured that all measures are being taken to ensure the safe return of the detained Pakistanis, including Mushtaq Ahmed Khan.

Dar mentioned that Pakistan has engaged an influential European country to intervene and facilitate the repatriation of its citizens captured by Israeli forces.

Earlier, the House offered fateha for the departed souls of people, including security personnel who died defending the country. Ali Muhammad Khan led the fateha. The House is scheduled to meet again on Monday at five in the evening.
