Islamabad: Minister for Climate Change, Dr. Musadik Malik, has emphasized the need for businesses to integrate environmental responsibility into their core strategies and operations, invest in green innovation, and align with national and global climate commitments. Addressing a ceremony in Islamabad on Thursday, he underscored the importance of strategic, long-term planning and bold leadership in addressing the country’s escalating environmental and climate-related challenges.
According to Radio Pakistan, the Minister stated that the future depends not only on strong policy and governance but also on how decisively the corporate sector steps up to the challenge. He highlighted that climate resilience and sustainability are essential for economic stability, public health, and national security.
Musadik Malik stressed the need for a collective movement, led by the courage and innovation of the business community, in order to transition Pakistan toward a greener, more resilient economy. He added that together, it is possible not only to mitigate climate risks but also to unlock new opportunities for sustainable growth.
