Musadik Malik Calls for Urgent Action to Tackle Air Pollution

Islamabad: Minister for Climate Change and Environmental Coordination Musadik Malik has called for urgent, coordinated and measurable action to tackle the issue of Pakistan's worsening air pollution. Addressing a workshop in Islamabad today, he emphasized that clean air must be treated as a basic requirement for human health and dignity.

According to Radio Pakistan, Musadik Malik highlighted that air quality is a primary indicator of human survival and dignity. He urged that Pakistan must move beyond policy commitments and work towards translating its National Clean Air Policy into a time-bound and actionable implementation plan. The Minister stressed the importance of implementing practical measures to address the pressing issue of air pollution.

Musadik Malik also mentioned that the government is considering the establishment of a National Clean Air Secretariat within the ministry. This initiative aims to strengthen coordination and ensure the effective implementation of policies designed to improve air quality.
