Muqam Applauds APHC’s Determination on Kashmir Issue

Islamabad: Minister for Kashmir Affairs, Gilgit Baltistan, Engineer Amir Muqam has applauded the determination of the All Parties Hurriyat Conference (APHC) to raise awareness about the Kashmir issue. Addressing a seminar in Islamabad, he recalled the massacre of thousands of Kashmiris on November 6, marking it as a black day for the people of Kashmir.

According to Radio Pakistan, the Minister emphasized that Kashmir is an internationally recognized conflict, with India violating the United Nations Security Council resolutions concerning Jammu and Kashmir. He noted that events like Marka-e-Haq have further highlighted the Kashmir cause, drawing attention from the international community to the sufferings of Kashmiris following the Indo-Pak war.

Engineer Amir Muqam described Kashmir as the jugular vein of Pakistan, affirming that Pakistan will persist in highlighting the Kashmir issue and exposing the actions of Indian forces in Kashmir on a global scale.

In his remarks, Chairman of the Kashmir Committee, Rana Qasim Noon, asserted that lasting peace in South Asia is unattainable without resolving the Kashmir dispute in line with United Nations resolutions. He reiterated Pakistan’s commitment to supporting the legitimate and just struggle of the Kashmiri people for freedom.

The Chairman also highlighted the effectiveness of Pakistan’s civil and military diplomacy in once again internationalizing the Kashmir cause. Rana Qasim Noon called for the release of all APHC leaders, including Shabbir Ahmed Shah, who are currently imprisoned in Indian jails.
