Islamabad: Motorways have been closed at several locations after dense fog blanketed various cities, reducing visibility to dangerously low levels for motorists. In a special message issued across all media channels, the Motorway Police spokesperson said the closures are necessary to ensure the safety of travelers and prevent accidents on the roads.
According to Radio Pakistan, the spokesperson said that the motorways will be reopened as soon as the weather improves and visibility returns to safe levels. Commuters have been advised to travel during daylight hours, with authorities recommending ten in the morning to six in the evening as the safest window for journeys in foggy conditions.
