Islamabad: The Ministry of Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony has wrapped up the first phase of a 10-day training program designed for Khuddam-ul-Hujjaj, held in Islamabad. This modern training initiative marks a significant step in preparing Khuddam-ul-Hujjaj for their roles.
According to Radio Pakistan, the Khuddam-ul-Hujjaj were equipped with digital maps crafted by the Survey of Pakistan, trained in life-saving skills by Rescue 1122, and exposed to crowd management modules provided by the Islamabad Police. Zulfiqar Khan, the Coordinator for Makkah and Khuddam-ul-Hujjaj, highlighted that these training modules were developed by analyzing global standards.
The new 'Nazim Scheme' initiative is also a part of the program, where a supervisor will accompany a group of 188 pilgrims on their flight from Pakistan and will manage their activities throughout their stay, including daily worship routines, travel to holy sites, and the return journey. As a pilot project, twenty-three thousand Pakistani pilgrims will experience travel between Madinah and Makkah on a high-speed train, reducing travel time to just two hours.
