Moon Sighted, First Ramazan on Thursday

Peshawar: The Ramazan moon has been sighted, and tomorrow marks the first day of Ramazan. This was announced by Chairman Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee Maulana Syed Muhammad Abdul Khabeer Azad, after the committee meeting in Peshawar this evening.

According to Radio Pakistan, the sighting of the moon was confirmed following deliberations by the Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee. The committee gathered to make the official announcement, marking the commencement of the holy month of fasting for the Muslim community.
