Minister Urges Strengthening of Pak-Kyrgyz Relations in Technology and Education


Islamabad: Minister for Education and Professional Training, Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui, emphasized the need for Pakistan and Kyrgyzstan to bolster their bilateral relations, particularly in technology, education, and research exchanges. This statement came during a meeting with a high-powered Kyrgyz delegation led by Minister of Education and Science, Ms. Dogdurkul Kendirbaeva, in Islamabad.



According to Radio Pakistan, Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui warmly welcomed the Kyrgyz Minister and highlighted the significance of the International Conference on Girl’s Education in fostering closer ties among Islamic countries. He expressed optimism about the growing cooperation between Pakistan and Kyrgyzstan in the educational domain.



The discussions also focused on the exchange of expertise in vocational and technical training. Siddiqui underscored the mutual benefits that could arise from sharing experiences in these fields. He further elaborated on Pakistan’s E-Taleem and Teleschool initiatives, which aim to address challenges in public education through digital solutions. The Minister suggested that both nations explore collaborative opportunities on multilateral platforms like the Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO).



In her address, Ms. Dogdurkul Kendirbaeva conveyed the Kyrgyz people’s strong ties with Pakistan and advocated for increased cooperation between universities and technical institutions in both countries. She also informed Siddiqui about a successful digital learning platform in Kyrgyzstan, which has shown promising results.



The meeting was also attended by the Ambassador of Kyrgyzstan to Pakistan, Avazbek Atakhanov, signifying the importance of the discussions in enhancing bilateral ties.
