Islamabad: Minister of State for Interior Talal Chaudhry declared that any attempt to create ambiguity or mislead the nation regarding the national narrative against terrorism will not be tolerated.
According to Radio Pakistan, Chaudhry criticized the recent remarks made by the Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, which he claimed reflected a lenient attitude towards terrorists. Chaudhry emphasized that the world recognizes Afghanistan as a hub of terrorism, with Afghan soil being utilized for activities against other nations. He mentioned that terrorist organizations have established hideouts and safe havens in Afghanistan, and Pakistan has repeatedly presented credible evidence to the international community, including the United Nations, about the Taliban regime's support for terrorists.
Chaudhry pointed out that numerous political and religious leaders have been targeted for speaking against terrorism, highlighting that the majority of terrorist attacks over the past year have occurred in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. He criticized the Chief Minister's statement as being against the national stance on terrorism, suggesting that it was made for political gain.
Chaudhry urged the Chief Minister to prioritize addressing the issues facing the people of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. He warned that strict measures would be enforced against anyone attempting to undermine Pakistan's stability and integrity by promoting a narrative favorable to terrorists.
