Met Office Predicts Cold, Dry Weather in Most Parts of Country


Islamabad: Cold and dry weather is expected over most parts of the country during the next twelve hours. Weather will remain very cold in hilly areas during morning and night hours. Smog and shallow to moderate fog in patches are likely to prevail in the plain areas of Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.



According to Radio Pakistan, the temperature of major cities recorded this morning was as follows: Islamabad and Peshawar at four degrees centigrade, Lahore at nine, Karachi at thirteen, Quetta at minus-three, Gilgit at minus-four, and Murree and Muzaffarabad at three degrees centigrade.



In the Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir, very cold and partly cloudy weather is expected in Srinagar, Leh, Pulwama, Anantnag, Shopian, and Baramula, while cold and dry weather is expected in Jammu. The recorded temperatures this morning were: Srinagar, Pulwama, and Baramula at minus-two degrees centigrade, Jammu at seven, Leh at minus-eight, and Anantnag and Shopian at minus-three degrees centigrade.
