Lahore: Chairman Higher Education Commission Dr. Niaz Ahmad has announced that comprehensive and coordinated measures are underway to improve the global rankings of universities.
According to Radio Pakistan, Dr. Ahmad revealed in an exclusive interview with correspondent Ghulam Haider that the Higher Education Commission (HEC) aims to become more effective in promoting higher education, quality research, innovation, and aligning with international standards in Pakistan.
He mentioned that a special strategy will be developed to ensure regular monitoring of academic and research activities and to enhance transparency within the HEC.
Dr. Ahmad highlighted plans to expand scholarship and faculty development programs. Following the government's education policy, the focus will be on increasing access, quality, and equal opportunities to foster a knowledge-based economy in the country.
