Masood Khan Urges Youth to Counter False Indian Narratives Through Advocacy

Islamabad: Former President of Azad Jammu and Kashmir and former Ambassador Sardar Masood Khan has urged the youth to counter false Indian narratives through credible digital engagement and responsible advocacy. He delivered these remarks at a ceremony titled "Kashmir at the Crossroads" held at the National Defence University in Islamabad, which was attended by students and faculty members from various universities in Islamabad and Rawalpindi, as well as the University of Azad Jammu and Kashmir.

According to Radio Pakistan, Masood Khan highlighted the ongoing struggles faced by the people of Jammu and Kashmir, who endure incarceration, torture, and systemic repression under Indian occupation. He emphasized their unwavering demand for the realization of their right to self-determination. Khan called on students to prepare themselves intellectually, technologically, and morally to shoulder the responsibility of nation-building. He underlined that Pakistan's economic strength, military resilience, and strategic clarity are essential for securing justice for Kashmir.

Masood Khan pointed out that, despite inducements such as infrastructure projects, political appointments, and integration into Indian parliamentary structures, the people of Jammu and Kashmir continue to resist absorption into India. Instead, they persist in demanding the implementation of United Nations Security Council resolutions and the realization of their inalienable right to self-determination under international law.

He further stated that India has failed to win the hearts and minds of the people of Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir. Referring to last year's conflict between India and Pakistan, Ambassador Khan noted that Pakistan successfully defended itself against aggression and prevailed militarily, diplomatically, and in global narratives, with international acknowledgment of the outcome from major world capitals.

Masood Khan concluded by calling for national unity and social cohesion. He urged the youth to embrace emerging technologies and strengthen Pakistan economically and militarily. He encouraged them to commit to making Pakistan one of the world's leading nations by 2047.
