Lahore: Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif has approved the Punjab Protection of Ownership of Immovable Property Ordinance 2025. The approval was given during a meeting in Lahore today. The ordinance is aimed at safeguarding the property rights of citizens and taking firm action against land grabbers. Speaking on the occasion, she said the chapter of land mafias in the province has been closed once and for all.

According to Radio Pakistan, the meeting was informed that Dispute Resolution Committees will be established across the province to ensure swift justice. Details indicate that every land dispute case in Punjab will now be resolved within 90 days through the Dispute Resolution Committees.
