Islamabad: Mainly cold and dry weather is expected in most parts of the country while very cold conditions prevail in hilly areas during the next twelve hours. Fog may occur in patches at a few places in north-eastern Punjab.
According to Radio Pakistan, temperatures recorded this morning in major cities were as follows: Islamabad and Peshawar at five degrees centigrade, Lahore at ten, Karachi at twelve, Quetta at minus-five, Gilgit at minus-four, Murree at minus-one, and Muzaffarabad at zero degrees centigrade.
The weather forecast for Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir predicts very cold and partly cloudy conditions in Srinagar, Leh, Pulwama, Anantnag, Shopian, and Baramula, while Jammu will experience cold and partly cloudy weather. This morning, temperatures were recorded at minus-two degrees centigrade in Srinagar, Pulwama, and Baramula, eight degrees in Jammu, minus-thirteen in Leh, and minus-three in Anantnag and Shopian.
